FULL BIOGRAPHY
Susan joined Wood Financial Group in 2024, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for helping others to her role. A graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing, Susan was inspired to enter the financial services industry to apply her education while staying connected to her love of service and organization.
Before joining the team at Wood Financial Group, Susan served as digital supervisor for WTOK TV (ABC Affiliate), executive director of the Mississippi Tourism Association and director of the American Heart Association for nine counties in Mississippi. In her current role, Susan strives to ensure smooth operations and a supportive environment for clients and colleagues.
Susan has called Meridian, Mississippi, home for over four decades, building a life filled with family, friends and cherished memories. Susan takes immense pride in her family, which she considers the most important part of her life. She is the proud mother of three grown children — Holley Speed Davis, Susannah Speed Wood and Preston “Pep” Speed — and treasures every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She loves traveling and exploring as much as possible in her free time. She also cherishes time with her close-knit group of friends and finds joy in tending to her yard and caring for her flowers.
